What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the estimate form or email us, we collect your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the procedure you're interested in, your target timeframe, city preference, and whatever you write in the message field. If you choose to send clinical details or imaging, we receive those too.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. That includes pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring source. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block them with browser settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Health information
If you send us clinical details, understand two things. First, we are not a covered entity under HIPAA and this site is not a HIPAA-secured channel — email and web forms are not encrypted end to end. Second, we only pass clinical information to a medical facility when you have asked us to seek an estimate for you. Send only what's needed to answer your question, and never send more sensitive detail than you're comfortable transmitting over ordinary email.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and provide cost information.
- To pass your case to a medical facility for review at your request, so they can produce a quote.
- To follow up about your enquiry.
- To improve the site's content and structure in aggregate.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade contact lists. We do not add you to unrelated marketing programs. We do not share your information with anyone other than the facility you asked us to contact and our own service providers.
Service providers
Form submissions are processed through Google Workspace infrastructure. Analytics are processed by Google. Hosting is provided by our infrastructure provider. Each processes data under its own terms.
Retention
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet ordinary business record obligations. You can ask us to delete your record at any time by emailing andy@colombiamedical.co, and we will do it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we don't sell or share it, but you're entitled to say so anyway. Colombian residents have rights under Ley 1581 de 2012. Email us and we'll action any of these without charge.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Enquiries about a minor patient should come from a parent or legal guardian.
International transfer
We operate from Colombia and serve visitors from the United States, Canada and elsewhere. Submitting the form means your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
Affiliate and outbound links
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you use them. This never changes what you pay, and it never determines the medical guidance on this site.

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes.
